Test case:

  • run mc
  • touch test.txt
  • F4 on this file (open for edit)
  • type any miltibyte text; for example: 
    тест тест тест

тесттест
  • make selection of 'тесттест'
  • remove average 'тест' from first string
  • press F5 or F6

You'll see shifted selection and broken copyed(or moved) text
