Sun 10 Jul 2005 12:08:41 PM UTC, original submission: starting a selection after having moved clears the previous selection. i think the previous selection should be extended if the cursor is exactly at the beginning/end of the old selection. of course this is arguable. maybe a (hidden) option should be added.
