Unable to search again for space(s)

Description
- Open a file in editor/viewer
- Hit F7 an search for a space (or more)
- After the first space character is found, hit F7 and see that the space is no longer in search box.
This behavior is not consistent. Try searching for something else and the text is always found in search box for a second search.
