5		If we choose this approach, there's UI issue to address. The feature needs to be discoverable on the UI (not just hidden somewhere deep inside the manpage), and its logical place is next to the select/unselect/invert options in F9 -> File. However, that menu is already as tall as it can be on the default 80x24 terminal size. So we'd need to rearrange the menu items somehow, or perhaps drop Exit from there.
