I can reproduce this with 4.6.1a.

On the first attempt I see an error "Can't open /dev/fd0: No such 
device or address Cannot initialize 'A:'". Consequent attempts give 
me an error "Cannot overwrite directory "path/asd-test.a#a" No such 
file or directory(2)".

MC is unable to copy/move files named asd-test.a#a
The '-' and the '#' are required to reproduce this bug.
