Cursor movements are recorded in undo history. How to disable?

Description

How do I make the undo history consider only changes to the file/buffer? Is this desired behavior? Is there an option to enable/disable this? I'd prefer not have the cursor retrace it's steps (especially if I've moved the cursor many times) just to get back to the previous change in the file.

  • Status changed from new to closed
  • Component changed from mc-core to mcedit
  • Resolution set to invalid

Don't ask "how to" here. There is mc at gnome dot org mailing list for that.

Check "Group undo" on in the editor options.
