Double checked again that the date in the manpage is set correctly in Mac -> it is okay, compiles and installs fine and the manpage says "April 2012".
The fix to ticket 2763 didn't make into the tarball, despite having the 'stable - candidate' flag. It's not an important or urgent fix at all, I just wanted to give a heads up to be sure that it's not that such stable - candidate patches were omitted accidentally.
