Key '*' should toggle also directories in selection

Description
While "+" and "-" keys in mc now can select also directories (unless you check "files only" in the dialog, key '*' that is used to invert selection inverts only selected files. I think it should either invert selection of directories as well, or there should be added some setting to toggle behavior of this key between selecting only files and also directories

This bug seems to have resurfaced. On version 4.8.22, inverting selection (both via menu or the asterisk hotkey), doesn't select directories; it only operates on files. It seems to completely ignore directories.
