Ticket #4539, comment 21
initial v1 3 3 Are you aware of any piece of software – apart from terminal emulators – that offer to automatically brigten bold text? Can web browsers, document readers, text editors do it? Can terminal-based apps like Vim, Emacs, Ranger, Less etc. do it? Can you please come up with just one example? 4 4 5 Why would mc be probably the on e that needs this feature, apart from the fact that it just randomly so happens that it's the only application where ''you'' (that is: 1 person so far) run into this problem, ''due to you yourself artificially crippling the capabilities of another component in the stack''?5 Why would mc be probably the only one that needs this feature, apart from the fact that it just randomly so happens that it's the only application where ''you'' (that is: 1 person so far) run into this problem, ''due to you yourself artificially crippling the capabilities of another component in the stack''? 6 6 7 7 Why do you think that there's anyone else out there who would find this brigtening feature desired? Why do you think that for them this need would also be restricted to mc and not relevant in other apps, i.e. mc would be the architecturally correct place for this feature; rather than terminals where such feature already exists, where it could brighten color of other apps as well, and where it can be done in a better quality?
