Ctrl-W delete full line

Description

In terminal Ctrl-W delete only one world before cursor, but in MC this combination delete everything before cursor.

Yes, right.

man mc:

All input lines in the Midnight Commander use an approximation to the GNU Emacs editor's key bindings.

Yes, also emacs has shortcut M-backspace to delete one word and C-y to paste it back.
So we need misc input modes for edit command line or we need improve documentation?

reading the manual has clear advantages ... ;)
f1 => contents => keys / input line keys

i'm tempted to say that this is somewhat weird, but i'm not sure real emacs-like key bindings are doable without comflicts.
