Description
This is a proposed patch intending to enhance rpm extfs behaviour regarding rpm-required packages. It was originally filed in ALT Linux bugzilla (https://bugzilla.altlinux.org/27357) on behalf of it author, Alexander Chumachenko (ledest gmail com); the maintainer agreed that the proper way to offer it is upstream bugtracker. The translation follows.
The attached patch by led@ does some rpm extfs facelift and adds dependency version output; since this shifts the semantics from "name" to "name and maybe a version", the generated virtual file has been renamed either (REQUIRES instead of REQUIRENAME, more in a line with PROVIDES).
It is esteemed that nothing worse than a passing surprise for some users would happen while improving the overall usefulness.

Прилагаемый патчик имени led@ причёсывает rpm extfs и добавляет вывод версий
зависимостей, а поскольку при этом смысл смещается с "имя" к "имя и, возможно,
версия" -- то и сам генерируемый виртуальный файл переименован (REQUIRES вместо
REQUIRENAME).
По идее, ничего хуже небольшого удивления части пользователей это изменение
произвести не должно, а информативность увеличивается.
