Which Ubuntu package????

comment:7 Changed 14 years ago by eugenesan

Tested package origin is ppa:voronov84/andreyv.
"Ubuntu Package" was inaccurate definition.

I don't recommend you to use the packages from this PPA. The owner doesn't seem to be a proficient packager and is using my official Debian packages back from January, but is not tracking it accurately though. Many things got fixed in between.

For other stuff is this PPA there are already quality packages from Git team PPA etc.

If you absolutely want 4.7.3+ just use checkinstall.

Thanks for tips.

Hope in future we will see official packages for 4.7.x, more often ;-)

For the time being only 4.7.0.x line will be packaged for Debian / Ubuntu officially.

We will consider uploading 4.7.x to Experimental as soon as I get more resources.
