Description
In Options->Layout... enable only:
[x] command prompt
[x] show free space
Try to use search box (C-s/M-s).

Looks good, for described case. Thanks.
But search box doesn't displayed if disabled all Layout... -> Other Options checkboxes.
Should it be another ticket?

The displaying of search box is under control of "show Mini status" option only.
