  • in this ticket create branch with code cleanup commits
  • update NEWS file
  • new Tag in git
  • new version in trac
  • Package tar.(gz|bzip|lzma) files
  • make checksums for arhives
  • Upload source packages and fixup ​http://www.midnight-commander.org/downloads
  • Try to download, verify checksums, build and install tarballs
  • Update Wiki start page (latest release numbers)
  • Craft announcement paper: list user visible changes (bugs and features)
  • Create new NEWS file :)
  • PROFIT
